Our Bible Study group at church is studying a book written by Phillip Yancey called “Prayer: Does it make any difference?” In the book Yancey asks poignant questions such as: Is God even listening to all the billions of prayers? Why would God even care about me and my life? Why do answers to prayer seem so inconsistent? Can God change, or is everything set in stone? How can prayer be nourishment to my soul and yet be so confusing and frustrating at times? investment advice homely.

I will say it again — Prayer works, and my sister Cathy is a true example of how it works, how God answers, how God can heal. Through Cathy’s journey with breast cancer, I have also learned to have faith as I pray. Faith gives me a sense of peace knowing that God is with her, comforting her and healing her. I know that to be true because I pray for it, and I see it happening.
