August 2010: Sack Lunch Offering!

On Sundays, August 1, 8 & 15 we will receive our Special Offering for our Sack Lunch program.
Factoids:
- We served 2,832 lunches during the first half of the year, an average of 128 lunches per week
- For the first half of the year we have spent $4,448.18.
- That averages $741. a month.
- By the end of July we will have spent all of our Emergency Food and Shelter Program grant.
- That means to continue providing the same number of lunches per month we need $4,440 in gifts.
- Additionally, every dollar we give allows us to apply for a matching amount from the federal Emergency Food and Shelter Program.
One of the unique things about our Sack Lunch program is that the program is all volunteer. We currently have ten volunteers who distribute lunches or serve in this ministry. 100% of our gifts go directly to food. You can share that with friends who may wish to give. Checks should be made out to WHPC (West Hollywood Presbyterian Church) and marked in the memo: Sack Lunch Program.
