and using our Spiritual Gifts in service (ministry) with others. Our Spiritual-gifts-based-ministry is based on four principles and faith commitments.

• We are all called to be Ministers (ministry is not just for professional ministers - it is each of our calling.)
• God has given each of us a spiritual gift to use for the common good.
• Equipping Ministry helps us discover and discern our gifts so that we may use them in service to others.
• Equipping Ministry helps us find ways to use our gifts both within the church and in the world.

As part of our regular ministry, we offer fun, interactive classes that help us discover our spiritual gifts, our personal styles, and our passions (the concerns and issues that we are passionate about)! Our Discovering your Spiritual Gifts Class is one of the most fun, celebrated and talked-about ministries of West Hollywood Presbyterian Church. In addition to being fun, it is also a great time of self-discovery.

Once a person identifies their spiritual gifts. their personal style and their passions, we have a Connecting Team that assists in helping each person to use their gifts in service in ministry, both in the church and in the community. Our goal is to connect people’s gift with ways of serving that are meaningful and rewarding.

Two or three times a year we also offer our Leadership Academy. Our Leadership Academy is an equiping ministry that offers various leadership and personal development training and growth opportunities so that each of us is able to lead and use our gifts to our fullest potential.

Our Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts Class, our Connecting Ministry, and participation in our Leadership Academy is open to anyone who wishes to attend. Each of these events is announced through the church’s weekly email and “This Week at WeHoPres” as well as on Sunday mornings.
